Q. I want to register, but I can’t find the registration page. What should I do?

A:Registration opens on Friday, July 6th at 10AM. The registration page will be accessible once it is open.

Q. Can I attend the event with my friends?

A:You can add up to two additional people per registration for a total of three people per submission.  

Q. I forgot the email address registered to my Pokémon GO account.

A:No worries; you can still register with another email address you own. It is not a requirement to register with the email address linked to your Pokémon GO account.

Q. Is the registration process first come, first serve?

A:Event attendees will be deteremined by a drawing. Selected attendees will receive a notification via email starting early August. Applicants who registered but were not selected will not receive an email notification.

Q. Can I register for multiple days?

A:No, you may only attend one day of the event. Registration is limited to once per individual.

Q. Can minors register on their own?

A:Individual minors must obtain consent from their legal guardian to attend the event.
However, children (born after April 2, 2006) must be accompanied by their legal guardian (born before April 1, 1998).
For safety reasons, all children must be accompanied by their legal guardian at all times.

Q.How can I make changes to the information that I submitted?

A:Any changes or cancellations will not be accepted after the registration form has been submitted.

Q. I have not received the confirmation email after I submitted my registration.


  1. Please check your spam filter; it may be stuck there.
  2. Please adjust your email settings so that all notifications received from the domain @yokosuka-go.jp will be delivered to your inbox.
  3. If the above suggestions do not help, please have your confirmation number, Trainer name, and contact support through the Inquire about registration process form. We do not offer phone support.

Q. When will the selected attendees receive their notification email?

A:Selected attendees will receive notification starting from early August. Notification will not be sent to those who were not selected.

Q. What are the system requirements and compatibility for smartphones and computers?

A:Below are the recommended compatibility specifications to access this website:

Q. I was selected but can no longer attend the event. Can I give my ticket to my friend?

A:No. Tickets are non-transferable and may not be sold or given away.

Q. I don’t have a ticket, but can I accompany someone who has a ticket to the event?

A: You are welcome to accompany your friends/family, but the in-app event will only be accessible for ticket holders only. If you do not have a ticket, you will not encounter any hard to find Pokémon.

Q. Can you tell me more about this 2D barcoded ticket?

A:This 2D barcoded ticket is required to access this event and scanned when you arrive at the venue. If you do not have a ticket, you will not have access to the in-app events. Your ticket is only valid for the day specified; once the ticket has been redeemed, it may not be used on another date.

Q. I don’t own a printer. Will a screenshot be acceptable?

A:The Pokémon GO app must be open to scan the 2D barcode ticket. You can either scan the screenshot saved on another device, or print them at convenience stores.

Q. I am no longer able to attend on the day that I selected; can I attend the event on a different day?

A:No. Your ticket is only valid for the day you requested. You won’t be able to access the event features if you arrive another day.

Q. What kind of hard to find Pokémon will be there?

A:You can encounter Pokémon that are not usually seen in Japan, such as the Grass and Flying-type Pokémon Tropius, Unown, and more. No special raids will take place at the event.

Q. Is it required to visit all three venues?

A:No, but there are Pokémon that only appear at certain venues. Please talk to an event staff for more details.

Q. Can I be waitlisted for any cancellations?

A:No. This event will only be available for those who were selected in the drawing.

Q. Will the event be cancelled due to bad weather?

A:In the event of cancellation, it will be promptly announced on this website and Yokosuka Tourism Twitter account.

Q. I lost my ticket which has the 2D barcode. Can I get a replacement?

A:No. We are not responsible for any losses.

Q. What should I bring to the event?

A: Your ticket which includes the 2D barcode, liquids to keep hydrated, hats, sunblock, and portable mobile battery chargers.

Q. Can I consume alcoholic beverages?

A:Please refrain from engaging in such actions.


Q. What time should I arrive?

A: Event is open from 10AM to 8PM each day; please arrive at your convenience during these times. Note that after 8PM, you won’t be able to access the event features within the app. 

Q. Are food and drinks allowed inside the venue?

A:They are allowed, but there are no plans to sell them on-site. There are dining facilities located nearby the venue.

Q. Are we allowed to stay at the venue after the event is over?

A:We kindly ask that you refrain from playing late into the night. Note that Mikasa Park closes at 9PM.

Q. I forgot something at the the venue. Who do I contact?

A:Please visit the help desk/information booth of the venue where you left your belongings. If it has been more than a few days, please submit a detailed inquiry through this form. A representative will get back to you shortly.

Q. Can I bring picnic tarps and tents?

A:Parasols and tarps that requires ropes and pegs to secure them are not allowed. You may bring picnic tarps, cooler boxes, tents, and chairs, but only in limited areas. Please be considerate of other attendees when bringing these items. Tents are only allowed by the Mikasa Park stage grass area.

Q. Can I bring my cooler box?

A:Yes. However, we may refuse your entry if the cooler box is excessively large.

Q. Are wheelchairs and baby strollers allowed?

A:Yes. However, we recommend Mikasa Park and Verny Park since Kurihama Flower World has many hills.

Q. Can I bring my pet?

A:Pets are allowed at Mikasa Park and Kurihama Flower World (except in Herb Garden). Service animals are allowed at all venues.

Q. Can I camp at the venues?

A:No. Camping is strictly prohibited.

Q. Is Barbequing allowed?

A: Barbequing is allowed only at Kurihama Flower World. Any use of charcoals and portable stove tops are prohibited at other venues.

Q. Is smoking allowed inside the venue?

A:Please use the dedicated smoking areas; this includes e-cigarettes and vapes. Individuals with portable ashtrays are also expected to use the smoking areas.

Accessibility and Accommodations

Q. Is there parking available?

A:There is no parking area prepared for this event. Yokosuka has a limited number of parking facilities and congestion is expected. We strongly suggest for everyone to arrive via public transportation. 

Q. Where is the closest train station?

A:It will vary by each venue. Please refer to the Venue & Directions page for details.

Q. Are motorcycles and bicycles welcome?

A:Parking is very limited; we strongly recommend arriving via public transportation.

Q. Are there any hotels/inns near the event venues?

A:Yes, there are hotels around Yokosuka-chuo area and Kurihama area.

Q. Are the shuttle buses that run between the venues?

A:No. Please use public transportation when moving between venues.
